BonjourGusMy location

Features

One tool, from the floor to the bottom line.

Here's everything I do, one feature at a time. Everything you need to run is in the same subscription, per location, with no limit on employees. And add-ons on top, only if you need them.

The schedule, on everyone's phone

Your crew opens their schedule with the restaurant's name and a six-character code. No account to create, nothing to install. Everyone confirms they've seen their week, gives their availability and says how many days they want to work.

The "My week" page shows each employee their next shifts, their hours and the "I've seen my week" button; the manager knows who confirmed. Availability and vacations are given half-day by half-day, three years ahead. The code stays valid six months on the phone.

The schedule, built by your manager in the dash

One grid per week. I can fill it from availability and roles, your manager corrects. Before publishing, I require someone on call for service and someone on call for the kitchen, two different people. Every published version stays archived.

The name is picked from the list of active employees, the hours from menus: nothing is typed by hand, so nothing comes unhooked from the hours, the costs and that person's week. I flag conflicts with availability, the minimum floor, hours that run over, and the planned labour cost per day. Two managers on the same grid? I warn before overwriting.

Employee files

Hiring sheet, documents, the nine onboarding steps, the signed employee manual and tip agreement, vacations, events on file and progressive discipline, in order. SIN and banking details are encrypted.

First name, last name, position, cell, email and rate are enough to create the employee and schedule them; the rest gets filled in later. SIN and bank account are encrypted with a key specific to your location, masked on screen, and every reveal is logged.

Yesterday, in two minutes

Sales, transactions, service hours, kitchen hours, closing routine checked. Your manager gives me that in the morning and I answer right away: green, yellow or red.

I compute the loaded cost of the hours, the average ticket, and I compare to your targets. Green when everything holds, yellow when something slips, red when the money drops off. I point at the number, never the person. A reminder goes out if yesterday isn't entered.

Green. Labor at 23.6%, ticket $28.90. Well cut, Thursday.

Labour cost, against the target

I compare each day's real labour cost to the goal, I compute the day's sales goal, and when there are too many people on the floor, I say it in hours and dollars, not in a vague percentage.

Every morning, the sales goal that makes the day green and the hours to schedule based on your target. Over seven days, the week in colour, the hours paid in excess, and the Monday debrief by email. Half an hour less on the floor per day, seven days, at $21 loaded: about $318 a month, twice my price.

Profitability, day after day

Average ticket, sales per hour worked, gross profit, estimated net profit against the month's break even. When money is missing, I translate the gap into sales per day until the end of the month.

Month to date against the month before: sales, average ticket, labour cost, food cost, estimated net profit. On the 12th, you know what your accountant would tell you on the 20th of the next month.

And also

Inventory and food cost
One value per month, locked once entered, which gives the real food cost. A catalogue of items with minimums, and the month's orders. An end-of-month inventory, the purchases, and the real food cost that comes out of it. Items below the minimum show up on their own in the order list.
The manager's bonuses
A tiered plan on the ticket, food cost, payroll and discipline, computed on the real numbers. At the end of the month, we close together and the amount is there, nothing to argue about. The tiers are set once; the month's numbers do the rest. The manager sees where they stand every day, the owner signs the closing.
The handbook
Opening, closing, recipes, employee manual, tip agreement, job sheets. The whole crew has it in their pocket with the same code. Procedures are written in plain text, with sections, and print cleanly. The manual and the tip agreement are signed from the phone, with the record kept on file.
Decisions and the black box
A register that says what the manager decides alone and what goes up to the owner, and a log of who did what. Everything exports to CSV and JSON, your data stays yours. The black box keeps every settings change, every publication, every reveal of sensitive data, with the first name and the time. The full export is one click away, at any time.
Ask Gus
A question about your restaurant, yesterday, the week, the team: I answer in the Back Office with your numbers, read-only. On the website, I answer questions about the product. I read the numbers, I change nothing. I never have access to SINs, bank accounts, addresses or disciplinary files. The chat goes through Anthropic; nothing is kept beyond your browser.
Your colours and your logo
Your logo and three colours, and Gus takes on the look of your house: the Back Office, the team side, the printed schedule and the emails to your crew. It changes in the settings, in a minute, without calling us. A base colour, an accent, a background: I work out the rest and I refuse an unreadable combination rather than leave you pale grey text on beige. The logo can be swapped whenever you want. My name stays at the bottom of the pages, your logo is at the top. See the settings in the demo
Three languages, four regions
French, English, Spanish from Spain, each employee's choice. Quebec, Canada, United States, Spain: the currency, the time zone, the identification number and the banking format follow the region. One location in Lévis and one in Marbella in the same company, each in its own language and currency, one account to switch between them.

Add-ons

And if you need more.

The plan, from $149.99 a month per location, is the base: everything you need to run. Add-ons go on top, each on its own, on the same invoice, and come off whenever you want. No add-on without the plan.

Mobile punch$9 a month

For a location without a register that punches: the crew punches in and out from their phones, and the day proposes the real hours.

Available
Texts to the crew$29 a month

The published schedule, the shift reminder the day before and open shifts to fill, by text: the crew doesn't read email.

Available
Payroll export$19 a month

Hours per person for the pay period, ready for your payroll service or your accountant, without retyping.

Available
Connected register$39 a month

Lightspeed first, Square next. The day's sales and transactions land in the day on their own, and so does the morning verdict.

Coming: raise your hand
Tip sharing$19 a month

Your tip-sharing agreement applied to everyone's real hours: amounts per person, ready for payroll, with the record.

Available

What I don't do yet

POS systems (Lightspeed, Square, Toast) and payroll aren't connected yet: yesterday's sales, your manager types them in, with the four other fields. They're coming as add-ons, above, and the number of raised hands decides the order. No public API and no SSO for now. If one of these is a deal-breaker for you, tell me.
